‹Building businesses from scratch›

For many German startups, Switzerland is a special market. From their perspective, the first step towards their businesses internationalization is expanding their reach to Switzerland and Austria – thanks to the common language. Thus, for one year, Gründerszene has turned the tables and lets the Swiss student Max-Otto Griesam interview startups of our German neighbor.

Interview with ventureworks

In this episode of Hopp Schwiiz, Max-Otto Griesam is interviewing the Swiss startup ventureworks (www.ventureworks.ch), whose team enables other startups to grow – much like an incubator. Having been founded in Mai 2011, ventureworks focus lies on supporting innovative, highly scalable web- and mobile-startups.

In order to reach their high growth-goal, ventureworks’ team, Max Diez, Simon Kreuz, Samuel Scheer and Garry Spanz, are joining the corresponding startup’s founding team usually during the pre-seed phase. From this moment on, the startup team receives significant support while tackling tasks such as crafting an ‹investor-proof› business plan. In a later stage, ventureworks migrates to a strategic role, taking on, for example, the responsibility for further product development.
